What is the training like?
What skills will I learn?
Bridge training uses a group study dynamic to ensure that you grasp the material while developing practical skills you can apply immediately. We examine each Biblical text Inductively and allow the passage to point out the human need its addressing. Our goal is to bridge the gap between expository, textual and topical preaching. We take the middle ground and use both. You'll leave the workshop with three essential skills: an easy single page inductive Bible study a textual expository format, and a strong topical application. developing expository insights and creating life-changing topical applications. The workshop also covers clear lesson structure, connecting with your audience, and handling challenging questions or passages. Since the format is hands-on, you'll practice these skills during the workshop—working through real teaching scenarios, receiving feedback, and collaborating with others facing similar ministry challenges. You'll walk away with concrete tools and greater confidence to strengthen your teaching ministry right away.
The Bridge Workshop is for anyone who feels called to teach God's Word and wants to get better at it. Whether you're a teaching pastor, aspire to be one, lead a ministry, teach Bible studies, or serve as an elder, this workshop is designed with you in mind. We welcome beginners who are just starting out and seasoned teachers who want to sharpen their skills or find just fresh inspiration. There's real value in learning together—you'll be encouraged by others who share your passion for Scripture, no matter what your background or experience level. The mix of people from different ministry contexts makes it even richer. You might pick up insights from someone whose teaching situation looks completely different from yours. Come ready to grow. Collaborative Learning: You'll work in small groups with other ministry leaders, creating a supportive environment where everyone learns from each other's unique perspectives and experiences Active Participation: Instead of sitting through lectures, you're hands-on from the start—working through actual biblical passages together, practicing the inductive method, and developing real applications as you go. You'll master each component before combining them.
